Summer Greetings,
The summer is off to a hot dry start here at Desert Canyon Farm, but my goodness, the gardens and flower fields are beautiful! Hopefully, your enjoying the early part of your summer, staying cool and putting in plenty of outdoor time. Here's the latest update for classes and events. I still have room in the Mountain Herb Walk-About coming up in July and also the Guffey Herb Walk-About in early September. It would be great if you are able to join us. Mountain Herb Walk-About
Join Tammi for an herb walk on the Rainbow Trail outside of Howard, CO. She will introduce you to many different mountain herbs and their uses. This will be an all-day trip. We will carpool from Canon City and then spend several hours on the trail, before carpooling back to Canon City. You will need to be comfortable walking on a rustic mountain hiking trail and you will need to bring a brown bag lunch for this event. We will not be wild-harvesting during this walk.
Date: July 19, 2008
Time: Leave Canon City promptly at 9am, arriving at the trail approx. 10:15 am. Returing to Canon City by 3:30 pm.
Fee: $50.00

Guffey Mountain Herb Walk-About
Join Tammi for a morning mountain herb walk at Cynthia's beautiful horse farm. She will introduce you to many different mountain herbs and their uses. You will need to be comfortable walking on rustic mountain trails. This herb walk will only be for the morning and will end at noon. We will not be wild-harvesting during this walk.
Date: Sept. 6, 2007
Time: 10 am to 12 noon
Location: Only the Best Horse Farm in Guffey, CO
Fee: $20.00

Please phone first to make sure there is still room in the class you wish to attend. You may reach Tammi at 719-275-0651. Remember that space is limited in most workshops and intensives. After you know there is still room in the class, then mail your name, phone number and address to Tammi, along with your check or money order for the total amount of class fees you are registering for at that time. Do not send cash. Credit cards are not accepted. Please remember that your place in a workshop or intensive is not reserved until your check is received by Tammi. Pre-registration and total fee payment is required for all herb walks and intensives listed above. Please note that no refunds will be made for any workshop or intensive within two weeks before the class start date. If a class is cancelled by Tammi for some unexpected reason, refunds will be mailed back to you within two weeks. Some classes above are held in Canon City, CO at Desert Canyon Farm unless otherwise noted. Directions and class guidelines will be mailed to you upon receipt of your registration and fee payment.
