2009 Apprenticeship Programs

The Blue Otter School of Herbal Medicine is dedicated to the teaching and understanding of Native American energetic herbalism. We approach herbalism from an indigenous perspective and are committed to passing on this knowledge of people’s first medicine. Karyn Sanders and Sarah Holmes are the founders and instructors of the Blue Otter School of Herbal Medicine located in the mountains of Northern California. All dates below are for 2009.

Greetings for 2009

The mantra this year seems to be about the Change that is coming. Yet to those of us who have lived by the seasons and listened to the intelligence of Nature, we have been anticipating this cycle. We have been preparing and gathering seeds, skills and visions to help our majestic planet through this transition time. At Sacred Plant Traditions our classes celebrate ancient wisdom as well as the new teachings regarding herbal medicine and land stewardship. Our classes cover gardening, permaculture, medicine making and are presented in one day, 6 week and nine month formats.
