Welcome aboard, Bailey!

UpS intern Bailey GrenertWe are thrilled to welcome Bailey Grenert who will serve as United Plant Savers’ first Americorps member through Rural Action’s Ohio Stream Restore Corps program.

As a former intern with UpS she fell in love with the Sanctuary, the community it’s nestled in, and the mission to preserve and promote the diversity of native medicinal plants in the region. This passion for plants led her to purchase 10 acres of land neighboring the UpS Botanical Sanctuary in May of 2017.

Bailey and her partner Ben plan on building a thriving permaculture homestead and sustainably produce non-timer forest products from their wooded acreage. Bailey grew up in coastal Virginia where she apprenticed on an organic farm before settling permanently in the rolling hills of Southeast Ohio.
